Automotive Title Clerk
The Title Clerk assists in the collection, processing and input of accurate vehicles data into the computer system. She/he completes all outside paperwork and correspondence needed to insure the proper registration of vehicles and warranties. Assists in the maintenance of vehicle inventories.
High school diploma or the equivalent.
Knowledge of state requirements and forms regarding the sale of vehicles and the transfer of titles and registrations. One year of experience in a dealership position.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
Professional personal appearance.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to meet company's production and quality standards.
Will be trained on dealership computer systems and in company policies. Will use a video display computer terminal, calculator, copy machine and telephone on a regular basis.
Devote himself/herself to insuring satisfaction to customers. Respond quickly to customer's concerns about their vehicles title and registration problems.
Attend company meetings as required.
Maintain a follow-up system that encourages follow through with assigned projects.
Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively.
Understand the terminology of the business and keep abreast of technology changes in products and services.
Know and understand the federal, state and local requirements which govern the company’s business.
Follow lawful directions from supervisors.
Understand and follow work rules and procedures.
Interact well with others and be a positive influence on employee morale.
Uphold the company’s non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements.
Work evening, weekend and holiday work hours as required.
Be polite and friendly and greet customers promptly.
Review, adjust and process in a timely fashion documentation relating to the sale of vehicles with all financial institutions.
Review, adjust, and process in a timely fashion accurate paperwork in accordance with State Department of Motor Vehicles requirements.
Prepares payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins.
Maintains control log of vehicle certificates of origin and titles.
Perform any and all other duties assigned by management from time to time.
Pay is $15.00 to $17.00 per hour, based on experience.
